Tutorial: 1 - DIZO - A Simple but Good-Looking Graffiti
My first tutorial consists of a very easy three-step process. If you complete each of these tasks to your satisfaction after a while of practicing you will be able to draw a graffiti as easily as if you were eating. I hope that this tutorial will help you get started and the following ones will guide you along the path to becoming a pro.
Step 1 - Pencil, Paper and an Idea
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/7340770.jpg?477)
First off I would like to note that you don't have to do this in pencil but if you don't feel like wasting paper and precious ink I would recommend it.
Unless you are copying someone else's work, which isn't a very original thing to do but can be good practice I guess, you have to come up with an idea. Of course you can play around with it for a while but you don't want to spend hours thinking about it so you might want to shorten the process. I also recommend that you faintly go over the lines with an eraser so you can still see them but barely.

Step 2 - Ink, no mistake and a steady hand
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/495831.jpg?476)
Now it doesn't matter which color it is that you choose to outline and go over the pencil but it does matter that you do not make any mistakes. Having a steady hand will help you with that as well as using a rather thin marker. You'll go over it with a thick one later.
After you've let it all dry for a while you should erase any pencil marks that can be seen.
A little tip if you are a left handed person start from the right and if you are a right handed person obviously from the left.

Step 3 - Color, Style and Signature
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/38626.jpg?473)
Adding color to something has always been my favorite, especially when it comes to graffiti. Choose any given color, it doesn't have to be red at all, and carefully color the areas you want colored. Later you can touch up on any missed spots and or add a color or two. After it's all dried again you might want to accentuate some important spots. Last but not least you will have to sign your graffiti. You do this to tell the world that you made it, it's yours and no one else gets any credit for it. Don't ever sign graffiti that wasn't originally yours because it could cause you some trouble.
Thank you for reading this tutorial and I hope it helped you. It was just a basic one so if you are looking for something more advanced, scroll down.

Tutorial: 2 - "Sew" - Try it yourself
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/6035853.jpg?470)
Here's another one of my graffiti drawings, but this time since you have gone through the three main steps a couple times now and you feel good enough to try this on your own, lets see how well you can get this graffiti onto paper. Remember the three steps: Pencil - Outline in Ink - Color and details. Also you shouldn't forget your own signature.
Tutorial: 3 - Your Name as a Graffiti
What you can do as well as picking out letters or signs or other things to "Graffiti", you can also write your name. Unless you have a long or repetitive name, by repetitive I mean many of the same letters, this graffiti will look very cool, like the one I have made.
Step 1 - Pencil, Paper and "Your Name"
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/8072954.jpg?474)
Of course as above there are at least three steps you should take the pencil, then the outline and later the color. I kept this one quite simple when it came to color because the pencil part actually took me the most time to complete and when you look at the graffiti you will see that I chose a specific style of Graffiti or font as some people say.
Step 2 - Thick and Thin Ink
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/2678704.jpg?472)
After you have chosen your font and you have drawn it out in pencil, added detail etc. you will want to do a careful outline of your Graffiti. The detailed parts should be outlined with a thinner ink marker than the main parts so that the fine lines can get accentuated better. Again when you've finished with this you should check for pencil marks you can see and erase them before it's too late.
Step 3 - Color Style and Signature
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/626841.jpg?470)
Although it's just one color the simplicity makes it look even better. I think that if you added a second shade of the color you chose (in my case a darker green) and then added some vertical or horizontal thick stripes, it would possibly look even better. Don't forget to add your signature in the end.
Tutorial 4: - Bad Gorilla
Ok, so if you have been following my instructions correctly and paying attention to your details, erasing the leftover pencil lines and being creative, you are ready for the next tutorial. In this tutorial I will be showing you how to draw a graffiti-like picture that can be used to communicate a message or just as a poster in your room. I called it Bad Gorilla because it is basically a mean looking Gorilla staring at you, wanting to tear you apart. There isn't any writing involved so if you've never actually drawn something like this with your graffiti, you will see how fun it can get.
Step 1- The Pencil Drawing
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/4187668.jpg?278)
As I have done in previous tutorials, we will be starting with a pencil line drawing. I prefer sketching so you might want to use a pencil with a soft tip. You don't have to that's just what I prefer.
As you can see, I accented some of the lines I was going to go over with a darker color. If I wasn't going to go for a darker color I either left that area blank or gradually shaded over it to indicate I was eventually going to have something go over it.
If you would like to at this point you can add in some custom lettering. I didn't because I know there are some people who prefer it the simple way for now, since they haven't really had as much practice as some of us so, bear with me.

Step 2 - The BLACK Ink Pen
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/9217307.jpg?278)
In my previous tutorials I told you you could use any ink, really, because it didn't affect the outcome of the picture. But after experimenting with this one a little, you can see that if you used green or red for the basic color, the eyes wouldn't really come alive it that well, the background would look bad etc. So you might decide to stick with the black or a very dark blue.
Stick to most of the line, the inner detail, the one closer to the face, will be grey.

Step 3 - Details ...
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/1546659.jpg?278)
After outlining the whole ape we can finally get to the part where we get to play around with colors, mix them and blend them. The eyes.
The grey accents are added to make the gorilla look more alive. If let's say this were a tiger, we would be using red, orange, yellow and light brown accentuating colors.
Finally, at this stage we can erase all the pencil lines. Of course if no pencil was used, none has to be erased.

Step 4 - The Final Touch
![Picture](/uploads/8/3/9/7/8397672/2448041.jpg?280)
All we have to do now give the graffiti a final dark basic color. In this case I chose black but you can choose any color that contrasts well with the eyes of the gorilla.
If you want to, and you think you are capable of doing so, you can draft a word and draw that in the background. Just for the sake of simplicity I chose not too.
